A

What is it?

MT4 is a compact all-metal robotic arm with a footprint half the size of an A4 sheet. Built from CNC-machined metal parts, it can be taken apart and rebuilt by students — so they learn a robot's mechanical structure from zero to one, not just how to program it.

It supports PC software, a teach pendant and vision control, with functions such as writing, laser engraving and material handling. Connectivity includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, serial and RS485, with secondary development in Python, C/C++, ROS, V-REP and MATLAB.

Questions

Why choose MT4 over Mirobot?

MT4 is all-metal and rebuildable, so it suits programmes that teach mechanical design and assembly as well as programming. Mirobot is a 6-axis arm and better for kinematics and industrial-style programming.

Is there a school curriculum?

Yes — Introduction to Robotics for Beginners, a 50-lesson curriculum for K7–K12, plus the MT4 Programming and Control textbook for K9–K12 and university.

Can students really take it apart?

Yes. That is the point of MT4 — students learn the mechanism by disassembling and rebuilding it, then program what they built.
